scene1_wayiam

I drew this scene to replace the original music video I had done. I wanted a more sketchy look, since I was making my images look like they were being drawn as the music plays to animate the song. Unfortunately, I had a lot of trouble with flash and was not able to complete a redone version of the music video. I drew the scene in Illustrator and imported it to the stage in flash. After frame-by-frame erasing tiny parts of the drawing for 400 frames, I was not able to highlight all the frames and reverse them (so that it would start out with frame 1 being nothing, and slowly build the drawing through the first 400 frames of the song until it was complete on frame 400).  When i selected all the frames and reversed them, they would all just be deleted. I’m not sure why.

I particularly liked this website  because the types of  movements and animations created are all related to the theme of the website, which is an underwater scene. As the images move around the page, they mimic the movement of a school of fish. I also like the depth and open space created, making the site look very comfortable and easy to read.

I love this website. It is so creative and interactive. You can even pause and play the radio on the Zune mp3 player on the main screen. As you enter the different sections of the site, the direction you move depends on where you move the mouse on the screen. When you click, it takes you through different worlds of illustrations where each and everything is animated and moving. Its easy to navigate the site and it is also informational about the products. This is a very inspiring piece of work.

Some of my favorite ecards are the ones that allow you to insert photos into them, making them interactive and funny. I also like the cards that are very refined and elegant looking; it’s nice to see an ecard that can also be a beautiful piece of art.

This article talks about what a “true” fan is, and that with only 1000 true fans, any artist can make a living. Having 1000 true fans would be a big accomplishment. To contact an artist with 1000 true fans, you could send them an email or contact them through their website.

My favorite images on the Worth 1000 site was an image of an abandoned building that was photoshopped into several different scenes. In each setting, the building is edited to match the style and mood. For example, in the image with a beach scene, the building looks like a hut, while in a colorful painted scene, it appears as if it was painted into the scene. I like this series because it shows the wide range of possibilities there are when manipulating an image.
